The other day I received an email from Darcy at RodeoEnvy.com asking if I would like to review one of her western jewelry sets and offer a second set to one of my readers in a free giveaway. I recieved a new set she’s been working on, featuring turquoise painted leather, silver conchos, and swarovski crystals. The set includes a western cuff-style bracelet with antique studs, which snaps at two sizes to fit pretty much anyone. It is made of leather, with a painted turquoise floral pattern resembling western handtooled leather. There’s also a cross necklace with a big concho in the middle, hanging from a long crystal and silver chain. Completing the set is a pair of “feather leather” earrings, which are long feather-shaped leather cut-outs in the same turquoise floral pattern, studded with swarovski crystals.
I wore the set to work, and really liked how the jewelry felt. The leather wrap bracelet wasn’t cumbersome or heavy to wear throughout the day, and the earrings (while longer than I’m used to wearing) were a really fun accessory to my normally-boring outfit. My absolute favorite thing about the jewelry was the smell! Since it is all made of genuine leather, I would catch the scent from time to time throughout the day, and I loved it. The smell of leather is one of the best smells in the world, and wearing this jewelry reminded me of my country roots and how much I love being a cowgirl.
