I am celebrating! This is officially my 200th blog post, and in honor of the event, I am getting a new pair of cowgirl boots! You might have seen my previous post with a picture of my old riding boots that I’ve had since tenth grade. They are a size too big (men’s, I believe) and scraped and worn in spite of a recent oiling. They’re good for working and riding in. But believe it or not, that is my only pair of boots. So I am boot shopping for some cowgirl boots with style.
I attended a cousin’s wedding last summer, and it was the perfect outdoor riverside setting. The bridesmaids all wore dresses of ivory lace and cowgirl boots. I loved the look! So ever since then I’ve been wishing and window shopping, looking at all kinds of boots. Those fashion layouts on Pinterest give a lot of good ideas of how to pair western boots with an outfit, and I can’t wait to try some of them. I went online to BootCity.com and found some boots I really like.
I love the look of the Corral brand boots, but have been scared off by the price. But I found there is a much more affordable line of Corral boots called the Circle G line. On the BootCity.com website they run about $120, and this is the pair I fell in love with:
I love the color, the embroidery, and the shape. They aren’t as ostentatious as some western fashion boots, and they still say “cowgirl” without being over the top. Also, they’re a far cry from my old work boots—I love that I can pair them with jeans or skirts and wear them to church or a dress-up occasion.
They’re ordered and I can’t wait to get them. I hope to have some more photos to share once they arrive.

AHH!! Love the boots!! Congratulations on the 2ooth blog post.
Thank you! I can’t wait to wear them. Wish I could buy two or three more pairs of cowgirl boots, they are so “expressive”!
